What to expect in this article
This article provides an overview of the key settings you, as the planning team, should configure in Boardwise to ensure your meetings run smoothly.
Basic information about the settings
As part of the planning team, the most relevant settings for you initially include “Files”, “Decisions”, “Dashboards”, “Automatic Message Templates”, “Invitations”, “Departments”, “Meeting Item Types”, and “Meeting Item Tags”.
Before creating meetings, you should standardise the notification messages that are sent to members or contributors. Boardwise uses variables so you don’t have to manually adjust names or dates each time. For example, the variable {MeetingDate} will automatically insert the correct date. You can find a detailed explanation of each variable in the article “How to use variables”, including a complete list of all available variables.
With only a few exceptions, all changes to the settings take effect immediately after saving. Any exceptions will be clearly stated in the respective article.
To learn how to configure each setting in detail, refer to the dedicated articles. These provide step-by-step instructions and additional tips to help you make the most of Boardwise.
